The Strategy of Alsómocsolád for Lifelong Learning has been developed based on the guidelines offered by the official approaches of the EU and the Government of Hungary. The strategic document gives a systematic overview of the needs which have led to the formulation of the basic concepts of lifelong learning, as well as of the relevant official EU and Hungarian directives. It introduces those international tendencies and Hungarian best practices which rest on the guidelines mentioned above. The situation analysis of the processes in the municipality involves the social and economic environment of Alsómocsolád, the training and educational possibilities, as well as the local reception of the idea of lifelong learning. The research study includes an interview with the opinion leaders of the municipality aimed at identifying needs, key problems, and demands. The development of the strategic plan was supported by workshops, where the divergent thinking of the participants brought to light a series of possibilities and methods. The description of the principles behind the Strategy is followed by the formulation of its goals and vision, furthermore, the applicable methods, the planned learning programmes, and the possible partners are considered. The strategic document includes an action and communication plan, as well.
